Bet I fooled you; you thought I was going to talk about yellow, didn’t you? Well, no, I am actually talking about the color of the city the yellow brick road leads to—-Emerald City, that is. Emerald Green, in my opinion, doesn’t get enough billing. It’s a really brave and strong choice. But a great one.
It’s compelling, rich, bold and actually (if you need it or want it to be…) neutral. Think of it mixed with other greens like chartreuse, olive and lime. What about with black and white? Cobalt or Turquoise? Aubergine? Yellow? Even magenta. Ivory? Hell, use it any way you like. It just may take your room beyond Oz….

Beautiful photos although I have to say I’d never be that daring. An accent here or there.. a sofa or front door. I would be afraid to commit an entire room to emerald green walls!

I never considered this color.. I have a feeling it will be the ‘next big thing’. Thanks for posting. I am now obsessed with emerald green for fall! Looking for jewelry and fashion inspiration as well…
Yes Adrianne jewel tones are “in” this season! I work in retail &and jewel-toned greens, purples, & ambers are HOT! I love them seeing applied to interiors, it makes for so much more drama.
